Good music to paint to.
I found my mountain strategy. I think I got better in the last five days.
For my brother Matt on his birthday!! Fun with the Photoshop CC Lasso Tool.
Amazing speed paint by Tomas Krutak.
In my defense, it looks okay as a thumbnail.
Pencil sketch with a little Photoshop TLC.
I said there would be unicorns.
Turned out pretty awkward but I ran out of sketch time.
I’m not very good at drawing in a rocking chair while watching tv with family.
Had to do another horse to make up for the one that didn’t turn out a few nights ago. Happier with this one.
Family is in town this week so I’ll likely be doing more non-Photoshop stuff while they’re here.
I really need to start going to bed earlier.
Obviously I’m a bit out of practice drawing horses.
Could fix a few things but it’s a sketch after all.
More practice with trees. And fog, because I love fog. And snow.
Trying to find a good brush and technique for tree branches.
I guess there are just going to be days where I’m not happy with what I end up with for a sketch (like today).
But that’s why I’m practicing; if I was always happy with how everything turned out there’d be no need for it.
Officially the first sketch of my first Sketch-a-Day blog.
I like how it finally turned out. Although the amount of time it took for me to get it looking acceptable is a testament to just how far I have to go in learning how to paint.
